Paul Mercante is a devoted husband and father who lives in Ancaster with his wife, Alicia, their two young children, Lucy and Alfredo, and two dogs, Henry and Olive. Family is at the heart of Paul’s life and has shaped his commitment to strong schools, healthy communities, responsible leadership, and creating opportunities for future generations.
Professionally, Paul is a healthcare executive and entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience bringing innovative medical technologies and genetic-testing solutions to market. Throughout his career, he has led national initiatives that connect scientific innovation with healthcare solutions that improve patient care.
A proud McMaster University alumnus, Paul and his family have deep roots in the community. He is actively involved in youth sports, helping young children develop confidence, teamwork, and a love of being active. Paul brings an entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative approach, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the community he calls home.
